Who We Are
Founded in 1985 by Victor Gaetan, Alex Galleries encompass Alex Gallery and Gallery A. Alex Gallery represents artists who have exhibited abroad and sold at international auctions. Gallery A is a membership gallery devoted to the work of emerging professional artists.

The Space
Alex Galleries make up three floors of a historical Victorian townhouse, located conveniently a few doors away from the Philips Collection, the first American private museum devoted to modern art. The gallery's space was designed by the museum's architect, and the two buildings share many features.

Alex Galleries is proud to offer our exquisite gallery space for private events, providing a unique and elegant venue for a wide range of occasions. The New Yorker magazine selected the Alex Gallery to co-sponsor and host an exhibit of classic New Yorker covers for its 80th birthday. Whether you're hosting a corporate gathering, an intimate reception, or a cultural event, our gallery provides a sophisticated space suitable for up to 300 people. Rental price ranges from $500-$2,200 depending on the nature of the event and the amount of space you need.
